How Stocard App Lets You Collect More Reward Points

Posted on May 8, 2018 2 Comments

Once again, I have to say how lucky I am to stumbled upon Sherry of SaveSpendSplurge.. Through her post, I somehow wrap my head on income tax filing for bloggers.

This time, I’ll share a new tip from Sherry: Stocard App.

It is an app that stores your reward cards information into your phone.

This might not interest you if you have one or two reward cards or don’t care of collecting points. For the rest of us, Stocard is my new favourite app that I immediately shared to my friends and to you.

I keep mentioning reward cards but what exactly can you add to the app.

Stocard App

What Rewards Card Do I Have

I didn’t realize that I have so many reward cards till I install the Stocard app.

  • Air Miles
  • Best Buy
  • Canadian Tire
  • Cineplex
  • Co-op
  • Hudson’s Bay
  • IKEA
  • MEC
  • PC Optimum
  • Planet Organic
  • Plum Rewards

Out of the cards above, I often use Canadian Tire and PC Optimum. It’s easy to redeem points for both card.

I love the PC Optimum card because I bought two Oral-B electric toothbrushes and foundation using my points.

Everyone should have electric toothbrush but the downside is paying for the expensive brush head every three months so buy in bulk (3 or 5 pieces).

It’s the same scheme in owning a printer in Canada. The printer is cheap yet the inks are annoyingly expensive. Tip: Print at the Calgary Public Library for free by becoming a member also for free.

See the best things in life are free. That’s what you’re reward cards can do for you. Let’s find out what else can Stocard has in store for you.

Tip: Use reward cards with Canadian credit cards like Rogers Platinum Mastercard or Home Trust Preferred Visa to earn points for both cards.

Benefits of Stocard App

It’s hard not to go out of the house without my phone, add the fact that I have my reward cards in it.

Less stuff, more space for important things. My wallet is small that it is the same size as my credit and debit card. I could fit three cards and few coins inside. A friend gave the branded wallet to me years ago. We do exchange stuff that we don’t need whether used or new. I have my friend a gifted comfy scarf.

Nothing is stopping me to earn more points. Whenever the cashier ask if I collect points, I often say no because I don’t have the card with me. So many lost opportunities, I know. Now I’m bagging all those points with my phone.

Match before you shop. The app shows new offers right into the app. Browse through the weekly flyers with caution. I occasionally check the flyers but I have to be careful not to shop just because it’s on sale. I sleep on it and an item still has to pass the “need” stage.

Add any card with barcode. Stocard is not only for reward card. You can scan any card with a barcode and take front and back photo if you like. Hmmm . . . what else should I scan?

Stocard Flyers

It’s a Keeper

It’s no doubt that I would keep Stocard app on my phone. And you should give it a go; let your wallet have more breathing room.

Only one thing is left to do. Find out where you can collect points with every purchase.

Wait this could be a new feature of the app. My instinct as a mobile tester is speaking at the moment. (Now how should I give feedback to the developer?)

What app do you use to collect more points and what did you buy with it?

This is how I manage to now carry only my iPod everywhere with 3 cards — ID and two credit cards.

I feel much lighter!!!! Glad you love it
